Bran is much like you and me. He’s an ordinary person. It’s just that he’s reached a point in his life when he’s wondering, ‘what next’. That’s not too different to many of us. The thing is, he’s met his first girlfriend after half a lifetime. She’s different; different to him. Yet they connect. Their meeting has unsettled Bran. So now he is on a journey to rediscover who he is.
Part of Bran’s journey involves his journal. He’s kept it for forty days, as he reflects on life, travels back to who he was and forward to who he is.
